As a Scout Group we are continuously looking for ways to raise monies to support our programme. We have recently set up a fund to support activities for our members and we have several fund-raising events on at any one time.
Did you know that you can leave money to our Scout Group in your Will? Click Here to download our form and help young people have a positive future by leaving a gift in your will to Scouting.
We also run Money Giving Pages for several of our fundraising projects/activities.

Scouting also helps broaden minds and builds bridges between communities. We believe in young people at a time when many are portrayed as inactive and antisocial. We not only take young people outdoors but out of themselves.
Scouting needs your help!
We are committed to keeping Scouting affordable to every family. Scouting takes resources, organisation and commitment from our adult volunteers, none of whom are paid. Each receiving support and ongoing training to keep their skills up-to-date.
We work hard with commercial partnerships and other business opportunities to subsidise the cost of Scouting and we are proud that our membership fee is just £ per person per year.
There are over 35,000 young people unable to join Scouting due to a lack of leaders, equipment or resources. We are open to people of all backgrounds who accept our principles and we are strictly not-for-profit. We are non-political, non-denominational and do not receive government funding.
A gift in your will helps:
- keep the cost of Scouting low
- Scouting reach into new communities and help more young people live healthier lives and get outdoors?
- train volunteers and improve facilities?
- recruit more leaders for the young people on our waiting lists.
How do you do it?
A codicil allows you to make minor changes to your will, including adding a gift to a charity. It is very easy to make those changes using a codicil form. If you would like to add a gift to the 1st Bramhall Scout Group to an existing will please contact us and we can provide that form for you.
There is no limit on how many codicils you may make but a codicil is only suitable for straightforward alterations. The form will need to be signed and witnessed in the same way as your will. The form must be kept in a safe place along with your will.
