Arrangements for Drop-off and Collection at the Bramley Centre

To protect the safety of all Young People, Adult Volunteers, Parents and Carers from Coronavirus and to reduce the risk of  accidents with cars the following arrangements are now in place  and must be followed by all Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts using the Bramley Centre.

 DROP OFF

  1. Young person should wash hands before leaving for the Bramley Centre.
  2. On entering the Bramley Centre the Young Person should sanitise their hands using the automatic sanitisers in the Entrance Hall.
  3. Please note and comply with Drop-off / Collection times.
  4. Please note any specific instructions from your section leader for a particular meeting, eg a different meeting point.
  5. Please drive slowly and carefully to protect our Young People.

If arriving by car:

  • Park in the large public car park at the end of Bramley Close.
  • DO NOT drop off in front of the Bramley Centre.
  • DO NOT park in the parking area in front of the Bramley Centre.
  • DO NOT park in the Health Centre car park.

Dependent on the age of the young person and the parent’s wishes

  • The Young Person can make their own way from the car to the front entrance, or
  • The parent/carer can accompany the Young Person to the courtyard and watch them safely through the front entrance.

Parents/Carers should not gather and chat to others,  should observe all social distancing requirements and should return to their car as soon as possible.

If arriving on foot:

You should go the Health Centre rear car park.

Dependent on the age of the young person and the parent’s wishes

  • The Young Person can make their own way to the front entrance, or
  • The parent/carer can accompany the Young Person to the courtyard and watch them safely through the front entrance.

Parents/Carers should not gather and chat to others, should observe all social distancing requirements and should leave the Bramley Centre as soon as possible.

If arriving by bicycle:

  • Dismount the bicycle at the road edge and walk it to the front entrance.
  • Ask the leader there to open the garage door.
  • Put the bicycle in the garage where indicated.
  • Leader will then ensure that the garage door is closed and locked.

COLLECTION

  • Young People will leave the Bramley Centre via the Main Hall Fire Doors.
  • They will only be allowed out of the building if their parent/carer is waiting in the courtyard to collect them. This applies to all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
  • A Leader will “distribute” Young People to their Parents/Carers.
  • Parents/Carers are asked not to talk to/ distract this Leader as this will unnecessarily delay the whole process.
  • If you wish to talk to a Leader, please either wait until all the Young People have left, or enter through the Main Entrance and talk to a different leader.
  • Parents/Carers should stand in the courtyard and observe social distancing from others. They should not gather and chat to others.

Thank you for your co-operation in helping us to keep our Young People and ourselves safe.
