The Scouts walking challenge

Date: 30th Apr 2021 Author: 1st Bramhall

During March 2021 1st Bramhall Scouts decided to raise some money for Samaritans while also getting themselves out into the open air to do some walking.   They came up with the great challenge of walking 10,000 steps a day, a personal challenge taking them outside, going for awesome walks with their family or friends, a great activity for general fitness and mental health.

As ever, 1st Bramhall Scouts showed great determination, excelling as ever at any challenge that comes their way the scouts collectively walked over 4 million steps!, that is exactly what they set about to do raising an amazing £1,520+ for a great cause while getting outside and enjoying the outdoors.

Please take a look at our video where two of our excellent scouts talk about the walking challenge and getting back to face-to-face scouting.
