Beaver’s Community Impact

Date: 6th Mar 2021 Author: 1st Bramhall

Back in January, 1st Bramhall Kits Beavers kicked off the new year with best wishes and a plea from Teddy (Kate Vincent). It seems that our old empty crisp packets can be recycled, it takes 150 of them to make a potentially life saving sleeping bag for homeless people.

On the first virtual meeting back of 2021 the beavers learnt about this great cause and how they could set about saving their crisp packets. A plan was devised for collecting them and delivering to the initiative organisers in a safe COVID friendly manner.

By the 1st week in March an incredible 1,500 crisp packets had been saved for recycling by the beavers and Teddy delivered them to Macclesfield Crisp Blankets. based at Tunnicliffe Signs Limited the company behind the initiative.
